Abstract

The regulation to change material in a good way is one of some ways to run production process in order to get a good quality of product. The damage of a material in irregular way influences very much the smoothness of the production process. To solve this problem, it needs to substitute (change) the material regularly by prevention based on total down time. This is to be the basic regulation in the company inventory. The analysis are done to the two substitutes models by using the smallest total down time criterion. In the first model, the down time is 3,45 minutes occurred in the time change 15 days. While in the second model, the smallest down time is 3,15 minutes occurred in the time change 16 days. So, the best regulation based on the smallest down time is change the material in the 16th days.
