Abstract

Orphanage houses in Central Java adopted the concept of self manage life style in every day's activities. The children and adolescents needed more uncovered to the concept of structured thinking in group collaboration for their learning activities. Digital Technology would be the strong candidate for era-suitable media for learning. One session of a Digital Technology assisted structured thinking workshop was conducted. The session was designed to instigate curiosity and motivating group learning through the aid of Digital Technology. This research aimed to understand the process of learning happened within a large group of orphans (called as the class). Participants were 59 female orphans aged 9 to 21 from the chosen public orphanage house. Data was collected through observations, interviews, analysis of classroom interaction, and evaluation of the participants' product in their worksheet. The result showed the occurrence of asystematic process of learning within the individuals, group, and the whole class during the completion of task assigned. Collective team-efficacy built during the workshop , had became important motivating potency for the group learning. This research deepened the understanding of classroom learning, specifically when applying Bandura's spontaneous cooperative group learning approach
