Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of profitability, asset structure, dividend policy and firm size on the debt policy of the property and real estate companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011- 2015. The sample in the study was selected by means of the purposive sampling technique and 13 sample companies were selected from the population consisting of 48 companies. Based on the data availability, the data in the study were secondary data with panel data regression as the analysis method. The results of the study showed that partially profitability had an insignificant effect on the debt policy, asset structure had an significant effect on the debt policy, dividend ratio had an insignificant effect on the debt policy, and firm size had an insignificant effect on the debt policy.
