Abstract
Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia, as a business and activity centre, Jakarta is inhabited by buildings that function as government offices, residentials and commercial activities. The rapid change in the development of urban space, the government of DKI Jakarta has regulated the procedure of development and obtaining building permit through regulations set forth in Local and Governor Regulation, so that it can control developments undertaken by private sectors or developers: In the midst of high rise building's constructions in DKI Jakarta, there are other problems, one of which is the difficulty of obtaining building permit (IMB). The difficulty to get IMB makes some developers desperate to set up a project before IMB is issued, it is also done by reasons of the length of IMB's application process, while the development process must keep going. The big amount of fees spent for the whole IMB's application is also a problem for developers who want to build in DKI Jakarta. In addition, the long process of IMB's application is also an inhibiting factor in the development process in DKI Jakarta.
