Abstract

There are four purposes in this study: First, to explore the effects of human capital on career success . Second, to explore the effects of entrepreneurial competencies on career success. Third, to explore the effects of motivation on career success. Fourth, to explore the effects among human capital, entrepreneurial competencies, and motivation simultaneously on career success. The population of this research are all the owner of small business in West Jakarta. The samples of this research are collected from the owner of small business in West Jakarta. The method of data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents. The technique of data analysis used in this study was multiple regression analysis to examine the hypotheses. The results are: (a) human capital have no significant and positive effects on career success ; (b) entrepreneurial competencies have significant and positive effects on career success; (c) motivation have no significant and positive effects on career success; (d) human capital, entrepreneurial competencies, and motivation have significant and positive effect on career success simultaneously.
