Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to obtain empirical evidence about the effects of cash flow, growth opportunities, profitability, leverage, net working capital, and capital expenditure on cash holding of the manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2015-2018. This research use 64 manufacturing companies as sample and also use multiple regression analysis. The results of this research show that profitability has a significant positive effect on cash holding while growth opportunities, leverage, net working capital, and capital expenditure have a significant negative effect on cash holding. This research also indicates that cash flow has no significant effect on cash holding. Keywords : cash flow, growth opportunities, profitability, leverage, net working capital, capital expenditure, cash holding ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh cash flow, growth opportunities, profitability, leverage, net working capital, dan capital expenditure terhadap cash holding pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2015-2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan 64 perusahaan manufaktur sebagai sampel dan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa profitability memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap cash holding sedangkan growth opportunities, leverage, net working capital, dan capital expenditure memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap cash holding. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa cash flow tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap cash holding.
