Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh capital structure, firm size, asset tangibility, profitability dan age of firm terhadap financial distress pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2015-2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan 198 data yang diseleksi menggunakan metode purposive sampling selama tiga tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan software EVIEWS 10.0 dalam menganalisis hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa capital structure berpengaruh positif terhadap financial distress, sedangkan firm size, asset tangibility dan profitability berpengaruh negatif terhadap financial distress dan age of firm tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Kata kunci: capital structure, firm size, asset tangibility, profitability, age of firm,financial distress. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of capital structure, firm size, asset tangibility, profitability and age of firm against financial distress on manufacturing company listed in BEI from 2015-2017. This research used 198 observations that were selected using purposive sampling method in three years. This research uses EVIEWS software version 10 to analyse the hypothesis. The result for this research showed that there is a positive effect of capital structure on financial distress and there are negative effect between firm size, asset tangibility and profitability on financial distress. However age of firm did not have any effect on financial distress. Keywords: capital structure, firm size, asset tangibility, profitability, age of firm, financial distress.
