Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari cash holding, earning per share (EPS) dan struktur modal terhadap income smoothing. Income Smoothing diukur dengan Indeks Eckel, cash holding diukur menggunakan kas dan setara kas terhadap total aset, Earning Per Share diukur dengan laba bersih tahun berjalan terhadap jumlah saham beredar, dan struktur modal diukur dengan utang terhadap modal. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan perusahaan manufaktur periode tahun 2015–2017. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan aplikasi Eviews 10. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah cash holding dan EPS tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap income smoothing sedangkan struktur modal terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadapa income smoothing. Kata kunci: cash holding, earning per share (EPS), struktur modal, dan income smoothing ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of cash holding, earnings per share (EPS) and leverage on income smoothing. Income Smoothing is measured by the Indeks Eckel, cash holding is measured using cash and cash equivalents on total assets, Earning Per Share is measured by current year's net income against the number of outstanding shares, and financial leverage is measured by debt to capital. The type of data used is secondary in the manufacturing financial statements for the period 2015-2017. The data processing with application Eviews 10. The results of this study are cash holding and EPS don’t have a significant effect on income smoothing while the leverage has a significant effect on income smoothing.
