Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of independent commissioners, foreign ownership, dividends, leverage, and company growth rate toward earnings management in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018-2020 period. The sampling was determined by a purposive sampling method. The research was conducted by taking 102 samples from manufacturing companies. The results of this study are that the independent board of commissioners has an insignificant negative effect on earnings management, while foreign ownership, dividends, leverage have no significant positive effect on earnings management, and company growth rate has a significant positive effect on earnings management. The application used in data processing is EViews 12.0. Keywords: independent commissioners, foreign ownership, dividends, leverage, company growth rate
