Abstract

The purpose of this research is to test empirically the effect of firm size, leverage, cash flow, profitability, and growth opportunity on cash holding in manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2017-2019. This research used 33 manufacturing companies that used as a sample after selected by purposive sampling method from 184 companies and for 3 years. Data processing in this research using Eviews 12 SV software. The results of this research showed that firm size, cash flow, and profitability had a positive but insignificant effect on cash holding, leverage negatively and significantly on cash holding, while growth opportunity had a negative but not significant effect on cash holding.
