Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of asset structure, sales growth, dividend policy, and profitability on capital structure. In conducting this research, researchers used quantitative methods. The number of samples that have been selected with the criteria of 27 manufacturing companies in 2017-2019. In this study, the results obtained that profitability has a negative and significant effect on capital structure, while other independent variables in the study such as asset structure, sales growth and dividend policy have no significant effect on capital structure. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh bukti empiris pengaruh struktur aset, pertumbuhan penjualan, kebijakan dividen, dan profitabilitas terhadap struktur modal. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel yang telah dipilih dengan kriteria sebanyak 27 perusahaan manufaktur pada tahun 2017-2019. Dalam penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal, sedangkan variabel bebas lainnya dalam penelitian seperti struktur aset, pertumbuhan penjualan, dan kebijakan dividen tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal.
