Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effect of leverage, firm size, growth opportunities, net working capital, profitability, and capital expenditure on the parent company. This study uses data from manufacturing companies listed on the IDX during 2017-2020 with a sample of 19 companies. The data in this study were processed using the E-Views 12 program. The conclusion of this study shows that net working capital and profitability have a positive effect on cash holding. The results also show that leverage and capital expenditure do not have a positive effect on cash holding, while firm size and growth opportunities do not negatively affect cash holding. Keywords: Cash holding, Net Working Capital, Profitability Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh dari leverage, firm size, growth opportunity, net working capital, profitability, dan capital expenditure terhadap cash holding perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama tahun 2016-2020 dengan sampel sebanyak 19 perusahaan. Data pada penelitian ini diolah menggunakan program E-Views 12. Konklusi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa net working capital dan profitability berpengaruh positif terhadap cash holding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa leverage dan capital expenditure tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap cash holding, sedangkan firm size dan growth opportunity tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap cash holding.
