Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, liquidity, leverage, activity, and firm size on profit growth of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2018-2020 period. This study was conducted using secondary data in the form of financial reports from www.idx.co.id and the company's official website. The sample selection technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 234 sample from 78 manufacturing companies that is processed using EViews version 12 program. The results of this study conducted that profitability has a significant positive effect on profit growth, liquidity has a significant negative effect on profit growth, while leverage, activity, and firm size have no significant effect on profit growth. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh profitability, liquidity, leverage, activity, dan firm size terhadap profit growth pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2018- 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan yang berasal dari www.idx.co.id dan website resmi perusahaan. Teknik pemilihan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan total sampel sebanyak 234 sampel dari 78 perusahaan manufaktur yang diolah dengan menggunakan program EViews versi 12. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa profitability mempunyai pengaruh signifikan positif terhadap profit growth, liquidity mempunyai pengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap profit growth, sedangkan leverage, activity, dan firm size tidak mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap profit growth.
