Abstract

Construction phase on highway projects often behind schedule, or always delays and suspected causes by and include land acquisition, incomplete initial design, project funding from inadequate service providers/contractor and any design changes. To answer these problems we need to know the relations influence factors between the project delay factors and project critical success factors are viewed from the perspective of the project owner to the construction phase of highway projects. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey method and data processing, then the regression equation Y = 0.675 - 0,402X1 - 0,306X22 - 0,467X26, where the coefficient of the variable X1 is a delay in the completion of land acquisition, X22 is the funding difficulties of contractors and X26 is not adequate data collection and survey before design, and Y is a critical success factor user experience services/project owner. The negative relationship equation shows that happen more and more and higher application determinants of the success of the project has consistently seen the results the lower factor of project delays, or vice versa. So the influence of the determinants of project critical success factors of the project owner experience in project delays is an important role in generating ideas and making decisions quickly and accurately in the construction of the project. Factor in project delays resulting from land acquisition that land acquisition should be completed first before the construction bidding process, project financing difficulties of the service provider/contractor should have at the time of the appointment of the winning bidder selected service provider/contractor who is experienced and has a strong financial, data collection and survey before design hence the need for the availability of time and funds for the optimal planners in making the initial design.
