Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of financial performance, earnings growth and inflation on the of public companies in the food and beverages sub-sector. The population in this study are all public companies in the food and beverages sub-sector for the 2016-2020 period. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis using Eviews 10 software. The results of this study indicate that (1) return on equity has a positive but not significant effect on capital gain, (2) earnings growth has a negative but not significant effect on capital gain, (3) inflation has a negative and significant effect on capital gain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh kinerja keuangan, earnings growth, dan inflasi terhadap capital gain perusahaan publik sub sektor makanan dan minuman. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan publik sub sektor makanan dan minuman periode 2016-2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan software Eviews10. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) return on equity berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap capital gain, (2) earnings growth berpengaruh negatif namun tidak signifikan terhadap capital gain, (3) inflasi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap capital gain. Kata kunci: Return On Equity, Earning Growth, Inflasi, Capital Gain.
