Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine 1) the influence of parental support for autonomy as promotion of independence to entrepreneurial intention, 2) the influence of parental support for autonomy as promotion of volitional functioning to entrepreneurial intention, 3) the influence of entrepreneurial role model to entrepreneurial intention, 4) the influence of family support for entrepreneurship as financial capital to entrepreneurial intention, 5) the influence of family support for entrepreneurship as social capital to entrepreneurial intention, 6) moderating effect of gender to parental support for autonomy as promotion of independence and entrepreneurial intention, 7) moderating effect of gender to parental support for autonomy as promotion of vocational functioning and entrepreneurial intention 8) moderating effect of gender to entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial intention, 9) moderating effect of gender to family support for entrepreneurship as financial capital and entrepreneurial intention, moderating effect of gender to family support for entrepreneurship as social capital and entrepreneurial intention. In this study, the sample was collected with non-probability sampling and purposive sampling techniques. Total of 220 data were collected using an online questionnaire by google form and processed with SmartPLS software. The population is private college’s student at west Jakarta. The results of this study indicate that 1) parental support for autonomy as promotion of independence doesn’t affect entrepreneurial intention, 2) parental support for autonomy as promotion of volitional functioning doesn’t affect entrepreneurial intention, 3) entrepreneurial role model affects entrepreneurial intention, 4) family support for entrepreneurship as financial capital doesn’t affect entrepreneurial intention, 5) family support for entrepreneurship as social capital affects entrepreneurial intention, 6) gender doesn’t moderate to parental support for autonomy as promotion of independence and entrepreneurial intention, 7) gender doesn’t moderate to parental support for autonomy as promotion of volitional functioning and entrepreneurial intention, 8) gender doesn’t moderate entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurial intention, 9) gender doesn’t moderate family support for entrepreneurship as financial capital and entrepreneurial intention, 10) gender doesn’t moderate family support for entrepreneurship as social capital and entrepreneurial intention. The results of this study aim to determine the influence of family environment in developing entrepreneurial intention with the help of parental support for autonomy, entrepreneurial role model, and family support for entrepreneurship as variables. Keywords: entrepreneurial intention, promotion of independence, promotion of volitional functioning, entrepreneurial role model, financial capital, social capital, gender. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui 1) pengaruh parental support for autonomy sebagai promotion of independence terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 2) pengaruh parental support for autonomy sebagai promotion of volitional functioning terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 3) pengaruh entrepreneurial role model terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 4) pengaruh family support for entrepreneurship sebagai financial capital terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 5) pengaruh family support for entrepreneurship sebagai social capital terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 6) pengaruh dari moderasi gender pada parental support for autonomy sebagai promotion of independence terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 7) pengaruh moderasai gender pada parental support for autonomy sebagai promotion of volitional functioning terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 8) pengaruh moderasi gender pada entrepreneurial role model terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 9) pengaruh moderasi gender pada family support for entrepreneurship sebagai financial capital terhadap entrepreneurial intention, 10) pengaruh moderasi gender pada family support for entrepreneurship sebagai social capital terhadap entrepreneurial intention. Teknik pemilihan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non-probability sampling dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data diambil menggunakan kuisioner online google form dengan jumlah total sebanyak 220 responden. Pengolahan data penelitian ini menggunakan SmartPLS. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dan mahasiswi perguruan tinggi swasta yang berada di Jakarta Barat. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) parental support for autonomy sebagai promotion of independence tidak mempengaruhi entrepreneurial intention 2) parental support for autonomy sebagai promotion of volitional functioning tidak mempengaruhi entrepreneurial intention 3) entrepreneurial role model dapat mempengaruhi entrepreneurial intention secara positif dan signifikan 4) family support for entrepreneurship sebagai financial capital tidak mempengaruhi entrepreneurial intention 5) family support for entrepreneurship sebagai social capital dapat mempengaruhi entrepreneurial intention secara positif dan signifikan 6) gender tidak memoderasi hubungan parental support for autonomy sebagai promotion of independence dan entrepreneurial intention 7) gender tidak memoderasi hubungan parental support for autonomy sebagai promotion of volitional functioning dan entrepreneurial intention, 8) gender tidak memoderasi hubungan entrepreneurial role model dan entrepreneurial intention 9) gender tidak memoderasi hubungan family support for entrepreneurship sebagai financial capital dan entrepreneurial intention, 10) gender tidak memoderasi hubungan family support for entrepreneurship sebagai social capital dan entrepreneurial intention. Hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan keluarga terhadap intensi berwirausaha seseorang dengan bantuan variabel parental support for autonomy, entrepreneurial role model, dan family support for entrepreneurship.
