Abstract
The Indonesia Investment Authority (“INA) is an institution that is given special authority (sui generis) in the context of managing investments in the form of An Indonesian legal entity that is wholly owned by the Government of Indonesia. INA, which is currently mandated by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Indonesia to manage investment assets in the form of money or goods belonging to the Central Government, is required to carry out asset management based on the principles of good governance. In addition, INA is also asked to ensure that investment policies are implemented by taking into account social and environmental responsibility. Understanding related to known as Corporate Social Responsibility or often abbreviated as CSR, was rampant in Indonesia around 2007. Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies paragraph (1) of Article 74 states that companies that carry out their business activities in the field of and / or related to natural resources are required to carry out CSR. However, the regulations in Article 67 of Government Regulation No. 74 of 2020 concerning Investment Management Institutions are only limited to INA ensuring that investment policies are implemented by taking into corporate social and responsibility. The objective of this research is to provide a constructive view and of the concept of future regulation towards the implementation of good governance, as well as the regulation of CSR for INA.
