Abstract
This study examines dividend policy of companies from mining, farming, consumption, basic industry and chemical sectors which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). For this purpose, several factors such as life cycle, free cash flow, profitability, size, and growth opportunities were considered to investigate the key factor which influence the dividend policy. The study using yearly data (from 2010 to 2012). The techniques of data analysis using multiple regression analysis with purposive sampling. The results of this research are free cash flow has a positive and significant effect and the rest five have an insignificant effect to dividend policy.
