Abstract
Indonesia as one of the countries affected by the Covid-19 Covid-19pandemic must continue to develop in order to repair the economic collapse of the countries affected by this pandemic. One of the developments in Indonesia can be seen from the ongoing developments during the Covid-19 pandemic. Heavy equipment as a major factor in the implementation of a construction project is one of the most important factors in development. The use of heavy equipment is needed in the process of accelerating the implementation of construction work in accordance with predetermined targets. The use of this machine creates a demand for heavy equipment. This study discusses the factors that affect the demand for heavy equipment on high-rise building projects during the Covid-19 pandemic, but because the scope of heavy equipment is large, this study will examine excavator heavy equipment. Excavators are used for excavation, especially in the manufacture of high-rise buildings. In this study using the method of factor analysis with the aim of finding the dominant factors that affect the demand for excavators. Based on the initial identification obtained 7 variables that affect the demand for excavators then from the analysis results obtained a new dominant factor
