Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effect of liquidity, profitability and asset growth on capital structure with company size as a moderating variable in primary consumer sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2021. This study used secondary data and was conducted with 33 primary consumer sector companies using a purposive sampling technique. This research data processing uses the E-Views 12 SV program. The results obtained are liquidity, profitability has a negative effect on capital structure, asset growth has no positive effect on capital structure, company size has a positive effect on capital structure, company size has not been able to moderate the effect of liquidity and asset growth on capital structure, while company size has been able to moderate the effect profitability of the capital structure. Keywords: Capital Structure, Liquidity, Profitability, Growth Opprtunity, Firm Size Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh likuiditas, profitabilitas dan pertumbuhan aset terhadap struktur modal dengan ukuran perusahaan sebagai variabel moderasi pada perusahaan sektor konsumen primer yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2019-2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dan dilakukan dengan 33 perusahaan sektor konsumen primer dengan teknik yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Pengolahan data penelitian ini menggunakan program E-Views 12 SV. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah likuiditas, profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif terhadap struktur modal, pertumbuhan aset tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap struktur modal, ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap struktur modal, ukuran perusahaan belum mampu memoderasi pengaruh likuiditas dan pertumbuhan aset terhadap struktur modal, sedangkan ukuran perusahaan mampu memoderasi pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap struktur modal.
