Abstract
In December 2019, a cluster of pneumonias of unknown etiology emerged in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. The incubation period for this virus is a maximum of 14 days and an average of 5-6 days. A person with severe COVID19 can cause illnesses such as pneumonia, acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death. Based on previous research, it is stated that most early warning models to determine the prognosis of disease severity can be found in 3 cells measured on a complete blood count, namely platelets, lymphocytes and neutrophils. Liu et al ; 2020b and Wang et al; 2020 states that parallel neutrophilia and lymphopenia are hallmarks of COVID-19. Li Tan et al ; 2020 developed the ALC model to predict the severity of COVID-19 patients because it was found that patients with higher lymphocytes were recovering compared to patients with low lymphocytes and patients with lymphocytes <5% required intensive care. NLR is important in the EWS (early warning system) in COVID19 because the virus attacks T lymphocytes. The purpose of this study was to determine the Description of absolute lymphocytes counts and the neutrophillymphocyte ratio in COVID-19 patients at West Jakarta Private Hospital. This research is a descriptive research with a cross-sectional study with a sample size of 146 respondents. Sampling is done by taking medical record data. With the results, the characteristics of the respondents in this study were that COVID-19 suffered the most by respondents with an age range of 46 - 55 years (39.70%). Respondents from this study were all patients who were positive for COVID-19 at the West Jakarta Private Hospital which were obtained from medical record data and included the inclusion criteria. NRL and ALC are said to be indicators to determine the prognosis of the severity of COVID-19 in patients. The NRL in the results of the study was found to be increasing and the ALC was found to be decreasing. This can occur due to an inflammatory response in the form of a specific immune response and a non-specific immune response.
