Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, asset growth, and company size on capital structure of consumer non-cyclicals companies listed on IDX for period 2020-2021. The purposive sampling method was employed to select samples from secondary data, involving 38 companies. Data processing was conducted using Eviews 12 software. The research findings indicate that profitability has a negative and significant effect on capital structure, asset growth has a positive and significant effect on the capital structure, and company size has a negative and insignificant effect on the capital structure. The implications of this research are to provide benefits for companies in considering the determination and optimal use of capital structure to enhance overall corporate performance. Keywords: Profitability, Asset Growth, Company Size, Capital Structure ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas, pertumbuhan aset, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap struktur modal perusahaan consumer non- cyclicals di BEI periode 2020-2022. Metode purposive sampling digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel dari data sekunder sebanyak 38 perusahaan. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan software Eviews 12. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal, pertumbuhan aset berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap struktur modal, dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan manfaat bagi perusahaan dalam mempertimbangkan penentuan serta penggunaan struktur modal yang optimal dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan menjadi lebih baik.
