Abstract

Time performance is one of three parameter dimensions (cost, quality and time) that become bench mark of success for contractors in the implementation of works in a project. Delay in the implementation of construction works (projects) that happens will result in damage and decline in the image of a company/contractor.The purpose of this research is to search for and discover the delay factors (Nonexcusable Delay) namely delay factors that fully responsibility of the contractors and have an influence to the time performance on the implementation of tunnel construction works. By knowing these factors, it is expected that in the future, the project team can anticipate the potential problems earlier that would harm materially and lower the company image.The method used by the writer is survey method by distributing questionnaires to the stakeholders who conduct implementation of tunnel construction works on the projects in the environment of PT. Waskita Karya i.e. Development of Jatigede Dam Project, Development of Nipah Dam Project, Development of Pandanduri Dam Project and Development of PLTA Genyem.From the research result can be concluded that in the case of the project equipments do not ready for operations, irregular sequence of work, low manpower productivities and partner resources who do not work as optimally as possible may make delay time in the implementation of tunnel construction works will be longer. Contributions given by these factors to the decline of time performance in the implementation of tunnel construction works are 67,70%
