Abstract
One of the terrorism attacks, such as suicide bombing to the civilians target , is a traumatic event which could make psychological trauma leave behind - besides the physically traumas - to those who experienced it. This pathological case experienced by the group of victims of the suicide-car-bombing tragedy at one of the American-based luxury hotel in Jakarta, August 5th, 2003. Those victims later built a social foundation, which specifically united all the victims of that tragedy , along with their family members. The main purpose of this research is to find out about, was the existence of that social foundation had also gave the positive contribution for the sake of psychological recovery of that bombing victims, who suffered posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The research methods that used in this research were interviews and observations methods, and the subjects were consist of five members of that foundation - three men and two women - w(th ages varies from 27 tiff 36 years old. The data collection process started at March 18th until July 25th 2006. This research succeed to find out that the social network existence also apparently gave the positive role and contribution for the psychological recovery of the victims - which also members of the foundation - who experienced and suffered PTSD. Specifically, those subjects felt that the social supports and various positive feelings that came from the social relationship that reside in a social network, at least capable to reduced some of the PTSD pathological symptoms, that had experienced by them.
