Abstract
The issues of women's role and position at work place and family are getting more attention, whether from domestic or international society. Multiple role, as both career women and housewife roles can produce conflict, whether intrapersonal conflict or interpersonal conflict. Continuity conflict can result in appearance of physiological and psychological response, and behavior as a form of adaptation and self-adjustment with threat perceptive condition. Appearance of physiological and psychological response, and behavior as a form of adaptation and self-adjustment with threat perceptive condition is cailed stress. This research focused on stress level experienced by multiple role women. There are many factors that could influence stress level on multiple role women, such as husband support, friends support, work environment support, society, self-efficacy, self-esteem support, etc. But this research only focused on husband support and self-efficacy. The purposes of this research are to know the relation between husband support and self-efficacy with stress level on multiple role women. Husband support is the husband presence whether physically or emotionally with devoting his whole heart, feeling, and thinking honestly. With the husband presence, the wife will have more beloved feeling, concerning, and respecting. Self-efficacy is the confidence or subjective appraisal of a multiple role woman on her own ability to take an action and solving a particular problem, related to the role she took. Subject in this research are amount of 18 people. Subject works in Tarumanagara University, Jakarta. There are 3 gauges in this research in form of questionnaires. All subject are requested to fill the research questioners, where all statements in these questionnaires have answers in interval scale (SS-S-K-J-TP). Data that have taken from this research was analyzed with help of computer program called SPSS for windows release 10.0. Testing the hypothesis in this research using the Pearson correlation technique. Through the Pearson correlation technique, it was found that there is negative correlation between husband support and stress level on multiple role women. The number of correlation (r) is - 0,233. The same result was also found in the second hypothesis that there is negative correlation between self-efficacy and stress level on multiple role women. The number of correlation (r) is - 0,270. Based on the result of the research above, it can conclude that there is negative correlation between husband support, self-efficacy and stress level experienced by multiple role women.
