Abstract
Current interpersonal relationships among adolescents tend to lean toward unhealthy relationships. Many adolescents conduct sexual premarital relationships merely based on proofing their love and care to their partners. This conditions trigger concerns among parents, especially mothers who feel responsible in providing the best education for their daughters. This research is aimed at finding some possible differences of anxiety between working mothers and housewives (not working mother) upon their daugters development associated with the recent social conditions. The number of subjects in this research was 70 mothers divided into two groups: 35 working mothers and 35 housewives. The 35 working mothers were the employees of the central Jakarta Mayor Office and the 35 housewives who live in west Jakarta, Tegal Alur sector, Kalideres area. Data were obtained through questionnaires that were analyzed based on SPSS for windows release 10.00. T-test was used to calculate the score of probability. Results showed that there was no difference in anxiety level of working mothers and housewives in regard to their attitudes in educating their children.
