This research is aimed to know gay’s perception about marriage among controversy of gay’s willingness to marry and prohibition to homosexual marriage by law and religion. Three gays voluntarily participated in this research, and data collection was conducted between the month of June 2006 to January 2007. This research found out that subjects redefined marriage as a bond between adults who are ready to build a family, no matter the gender. For all subjects, law and religion legality are not important because the core of marriage is commitment between them. All subjects want to marry to a man, but law and religion prohibition make them to take cohabitation as the best alternative for now. All subjects do not care about law or society acceptance about their romantic relationship. The common reason they want to get married is the necessity of companionship, love and intimacy, sharing parenthood, life-time companion, and supportive partnership.
