Abstract
Group fightings between students became worse and happens many time on streets. Group fighting occurred among the society and causes fear and anxiety. This research attempted to give a picture of the influence of microsystem to the group fighting behavior. The influence was based on the Bronfenbrenner's theory of ecology of microsystem environment, which consisted of family, peers, school, and neighborhood. In fact film also played significant role in influencing group fighting behaviors. This research was conducted in qualitative methods and used in depth interview methods, data collection was conducted within two months from February 11, 2002 to April 12, 2002. Five subjects were male students of senior high school in Jakarta and Tangerang. Four of five subjects experienced various conflicts in their relationship with their parents, and only one subject had a better relation quality. Peer and school setting gave much more contribution in their involvement in group fighting. Neighborhood did not give influence to group fighting behavior of five subjects. Four of five subjects had similar interest in watching film, they watched violence film. All subjects showed their remorse regarding with their involment in group fighting.
