Abstract
Prosocial behaviors are voluntary actions aimed at improving the welfare of others. Prosocial behavior continues to evolve from child to adult and is influenced by parenting style. Parenting style is a set of parents behavior from children born until adults who can influence the development of their children. Parenting style has four types: authoritarian, authoritative, permissive and uninvolved. This research aimed to see the differences in early adult prosocial behavior in terms of parenting style. This research uses quantitative methods to involve 210 students in West Jakarta. This study shows that there are significant differences in prosocial behavior in terms of parenting fathers and mothers with F = 6,689 dan p = 0,000 < 0,05. Therefore, there are significant differences in prosocial behavior in term of parenting style.
