Psoriasis is a chronic, non-infections, inflammatory dermatosis characterized by well-demarcated erythematous plaques topped by silvery scales (Gawkrodger, 2008). Psoriasis have an opportunity to appear in anywhere on the body. Psoriasis also makes sufferers feel uncomfortable in social environment, especially if psoriasis occurs in areas of the body which is seen as the face and head. The presence of psoriasis provide a major challenge, especially for a woman who has not married because of psoriasis associated with beauty. The aims of this study is to provide the description of self-acceptance in early adult women with psoriasis. Self-acceptance is the recognition of personal ability and achievement, along with the acceptance of her limitations (Corsini, 2002). Self-acceptance need to be owned by a woman who suffers psoriasis in early adulthood, especially for those who has not married because according to Frank (cited in Hurlock, 1974) self-acceptance is the core of a healthy personality. Data were obtained through in-depth interview with four young adult women who suffers psoriasis. The study started in February 2012 and ended in June 2012. These results indicate that the four informants pass through each stage of emotional reactions in the form of denial, anger, bargaining for extra, depression, and acceptance.
