Abstract
Sexual violence experienced by woman, occurs without differentiates age, race, status, and social level. During colonialism, it is normal to see the colonialists use sexual violence as a media to destroy/demolish the culture of the colony. This research needs to find out profoundly about how the psychological dynamic of woman as a victim of sexual violence during Japan colonialism (jugun ianfu). This research used in-depth interview, among 5 ex- jugun ianfu whose ages between 70 — 80 years old, who had ever stayed in camp, and came from different races, occupations, and educational levels. The first and the additional interview occurs in 4 months, started on November 10, 2002 and ended on March 30, 2002. This research proved that those 5 subjects got several results from sexual violence they had experienced, either physically or psychologically, together with the impact on their social and psychological life for about 57 years. What had happened to those ex- jugun ianfu at the time is the darkest part of their life and will become a part of Indonesia history as well.
