Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop tools for measuring the readiness of couples getting married. This study included 132 subjects from the Jakarta and Tangerang. This measure has nine dimensions, namely (a) self-respect, (b) respect to others, (c) commitment, (d) intimacy, (e) positive relationship with family, (f) religiosity, (g) motivation not mistaken, (h) perception of financial capability, and (i) the family expenditures budget plan. This measure has 94 items. Cronbach Alpha reliability of this measure is r = .530 - .803. This measure has content validity and face validity. Construct validity of this measure has evidence of homogenity, evidence of age, and evidence of distinct groups. Measuring instrument is correlated with marital satisfaction variables (Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire). This gauge has 10 norm.
