Abstract
Religiousity means how a person feels bond to his or her religion. Religiousity can be seen from five dimensions i.e., ideology; ritualistic; experiential; intelectuall; and consequencial. Achievement motivation is the need for success, for doing better than others, and for mastering challenging tasks. Individual characteristics with high achievement motivation i.e., risk taking of tasks, need of feedback, desire to excel, doing better than others, responsibility, and persistence. The purpose of this study is to find the correlational between religiousity and achievement motivation. This study is also aimed to see relation between dimensions of religiousity and achievement motivation. The subject on this study is Catholic priest candidates. The subject’s number in this study is 160 persons. Data has been collected through questionnaire and analyzed using Spearman’s correlation. Based on data processed, the result is r(160) = 0,150 dan p = 0,058 > 0,05. The conclusion, there is no correlation between religiousity and achievement motivation in Catholic priest candidates.
