Abstract
This research is done for revealing young adulthood women motivation for being second wife in polygyny marriage. Motivation refers to a drive force that moves us to a particular action. Polygyny is a condition when a husband has two or more wives at the same time. This research uses interview method, which is in-depth interview for taking its data. The subjects who are involved in this research are four women. Those women are young adulthood whose being second wife in polygyny marriage. Based on interview that was done to all the subjects, they said that love was their motivation for being second wife in polygyny. Besides that, young adulthood women were also motivated by economical, sexual, and esteem need in deciding for being second wife in polygyny.
