Making decision to conduct life as Catholic priest requires considerations that one must go through into several phases. Within the phases the candidates may experience conflicts associated with celibacy, poverty and obedience. Therefore, the candidates of Catholic priests must deal with the conflicts and find solutions to resolve the conflicts. This research is aimed at exploring the candidates' phases of the decision making, their conflicts, primarily related to the religious vows especially in celibacy , and the resolution they took in order to arrive at their decision to choose life as Catholic priests. There are six respondents in this research, and all of them are Catholic priests. Based on the research, we could draw a conclusion that decision making process to become Catholic priest, will follow the steps of decision making. All respondent in this research experience with the conflicts, therefore the respondent try to find the best solution to resolve the conflicts. The factors which influence the decision making process are, motivation, individual traits, support from others, information , self-confident , modeling, and religious environment in the family.
