Abstract
This study, therefore is aimed generally to look for the relations between personality and smoking behavior. Especially, this study also aims to look for which one of five dimension will have a relations to smoking behavior on young adulthood, 18 to 40 year olds. This study is carried out with 191 samples who are randomly taken from the population. Aided by the statistical discriminant analysis, the findings reveals that there is a relations between personality and smoking behavior. Specifically, there is a significant relations between personality and smoking behavior at sub dimension anxiety, p = 0,037 < 0,05. There is a significant relations between personality and smoking behavior at sub dimension self-consciousness, p = 0,011 < 0,05.
