Abstract
For children, divorce between parents has never been easy to deal with. The ongoing dispute often stir the situation up and gives an inhibit impact on child’s development. Parental Alienation Syndrome, introduced by Dr. Richard Gardner in 1985, is a psychiatric disturbance in which the child is aligned with one parent who makes a campaign of denigration against the other parent. In such situation, alienating parent implants hatred in children towards the target parents. The following research, which is using in-dep1h interview, is aim to reveal more over about Parental Alienation Syndrome. Interview was conducted to five female and one male subjects, age between 1O to 16 years. This research finds that, not only can be an obstacle for child's adjustment, Parental Alienation Syndrome also can harm the child's emotional state and behavior.
