Abstract

This study discusses the challenges of Indonesian Textiles and Textile Products (TPT) against other countries in the ASEAN - China Free Trade Area (ACFTA) seen from comparative advantages. In theory, ACFTA cooperation has a positive impact on member countries because of the elimination of tariffs to 0%. The TPT industry is one of the industries that contribute greatly to Indonesian trade. However, TPT from China dominates more than local TPT. The aim is to determine the challenges of Indonesian
TPT within the ACFTA framework. This study is a qualitative study with an explanatory design. The results of the implementation of SNI for the TPT industry and high credit interest rates. These four things are challenges for Indonesian TPT. Research shows that the Indonesian TPT industry does not yet have a comparative advantage compared to China. Therefore, a strategy is needed from the government and TPT producers in facing challenges so that they can increase the competitiveness of the Indonesian TPT
industry.
