Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial ratios, namely liquidity, solvency, firm size, profitability, and activity, on the likelihood of financial distress in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020-2023 period. This research employs a purposive sampling method, resulting in 692 data samples from 173 companies over four years. The analysis technique used is binary logistic regression based on panel data, processed with E-Views 13.0 software. The findings reveal that liquidity, profitability, and activity have a negative and significant effect on financial distress, while solvency and firm size have a positive and significant effect. This study contributes new insights by analyzing the impact of financial ratios during the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic periods, as well as utilizing a longer timeframe to provide more concrete results. These findings are expected to guide corporate management and
policymakers in identifying and managing financial distress risks.
