Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the role of Institutional awareness and Institutional image on intention to register at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. The study was also conducted to identify the role of Institutional image in mediating the effect of Institutional awareness on intention to register. The targeted population of this study includes all Instagram followers of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. Through the sampling method, a total of 300 people participated in the study.
Empirical data was collected through distributing questionnaires and analyzed through the PLS-SEM approach. The research findings confirm that Institutional awareness has a significant effect on intention to register. Furthermore, the analysis also confirmed that a positive Institutional image will lead to high enrollment intention. The research findings also demonstrate that the existence of Institutional image is able to act as a mediating variable between Institutional awareness and enrollment intention. This research is able to contribute theoretically and practically to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property in increasing public awareness and strengthening the Institutional's image in order to encourage public intention to register their intellectual property.
