Abstract

"English language is one of international language that mostly used globally, so English language ability absolutely needed for person who wants to compete in globalitation era. School as public facilitation whose facilitating that thing expected can gives enough supplies for educational participant to face better future, one of that supplies is ability in English language. Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) is a form of junior high school (SMP) that mixing study religious science and science, so study load of MTs sudents than SMP as ussual. Because of that this research purpose is to find description of motivational learning and achievement learning especially for MTs students in English lesson because English always tested in national examination (UN). Good motivational learning and achievement learning reached one of it through correct learning strategy. Research propose learning strategy is questioning-reciprocal teaching. Its one of strategy in reciprocal teaching method thet were proved imroved student motivation to learn becaused were improved student comprehension (Yoosabai, 2009). Reciprocal teaching were described by Palinscar and Brown (1984) about zone of proximal development (ZPD) concept from Vygotsky (1978). Therefore, this researched presented description motivation to learn and achievement learning test of English lesson. Then, its based for intervention with questioning xvi reciprocal teaching to MTs student as subject in this research used quasi experimental. The result indicated, that motivation to learn English of MTs student is high tend, eventhough achievement learning test of English is low tend and did not showed related both of motivation to learn and achievement learning test. Questioning-reciprocal teaching strategy that used in this research indicated uneffected yet to motivation to learn English, maybe its because students have not enough to adapted this strategy relative at short time. Thus, this strategy indicated increasing achievement learning test of questioning task"
