Abstract

Criteria for success of building construction project is to conduct the construction process with the specific allocation of resources to produce quality products based on the criteria in the contract. To acccomplish this, the contractor must perform a variety of innovations in the construction process which should be managed in accordance with the contract, so there will be no construction failures. Many obstacles often lead to failure of the construction from the smalest to the largest scales. The purpose of study is to find the dominant factor of construction failures by the contractor. The result showed that there is some influence of the dominant factor of construction failures, including the quality control and site engginer from the contractor who are incompetent, contractor replace specifications which are determined at the contract, damage equipment during the construction.
