Abstract
A construction process of project is a process that must be done carefully and thoroughly by all the stakeholders including the user and provider of construction services and also government who monitor the construction progress so that a failure such as building failure and construction failure can be avoided. Since 1999 to 2017, the construction industry was controlled by construction law No.18 year 1999. However in 2017, a new law which is construction law No.2 year 2017, was introduced. The new law has a clause that discuss about the building failure. There are a few problem with the old law such as the trend which people think that building failure and construction failure are the same. Because there are some changes in the new law, there is a need for an analysis to be done for the problems which the construction service provider felt in the old law.The result of this analysis would provide us the data about the biggest problem from the old law, and whether the new law is able to cover those problems and also to get constractor’s testimony about the new law.
