Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of leverage, profitability, growth opportunity, and liquidity on cash holding. Data was processed using multiple regression analysis using Eviews version 12.0. Sample of this study consisted of 17 manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector selected by purposive sampling method that met the criteria of 56 publicly traded companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2017 - 2019. The result of this study indicates that growth opportunity has a significant positive effect on cash holding, while leverage, profitability, and liquidity have no significant effect on cash holding. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh bukti empiris pengaruh leverage, profitability, growth opportunity, dan liquidity terhadap cash holding. Data dalam penelitian ini diolah menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan menggunakan program aplikasi Eviews versi 12.0. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 17 perusahaan manufaktur sektor barang konsumsi yang diseleksi dengan metode purposive sampling yang memenuhi kriteria dari 56 perusahaan go public yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode 2017 - 2019. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa growth opportunity berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap cash holding, sedangkan leverage, profitability, dan liquidity tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap cash holding.
