Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance through the entrepreneurial competence of Culinary SMEs in Pasar Jambi. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in economic development. So it is important for entrepreneurs to develop entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial competencies in order to maintain their business performance in this uncertain pandemic period. Researcher distributed questionnaires to 59 samples of SMEs in Pasar Jambi using purposive sampling technique. which is then processed using SmartPLS-SEM to analyze data and test hypotheses. The results of the study show a positive relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial performance, entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial competence, entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial performance. In addition, entrepreneurial competence is shown to be a mediator between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial performance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari orientasi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja usaha melalui kompetensi kewirausahaan UMKM Kuliner di Kecamatan Pasar Jambi. Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) memegang peranan penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi. Sehingga penting bagi wirausaha untuk mengembangkan orientasi kewirausahaan dan kompetensi kewirausahaan agar dapat mempertahankan kinerja usahanya di masa pandemik yang tidak menentu ini. Peneliti membagikan kuesioner kepada 59 sampel UMKM di Kecamatan Pasar Jambi menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. yang kemudian diolah menggunakan SmartPLS-SEM untuk menganalisis data dan menguji hipotesis. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan hubungan positif antara orientasi kewirausahaan dan kinerja kewirausahaan, orientasi kewirausahaan dan kompetensi kewirausahaan, kompetensi kewirausahaan dan kinerja kewirausahaan. Selain itu, kompetensi kewirausahaan terbukti menjadi mediator antara orientasi kewirausahaan dan kinerja kewirausahaan.
