Abstract

The purpose of this study 1) to examine the effect of locus of control on entrepreneurial intentions. 2) to examine the effect of risk taking tendency on entrepreneurial intentions. 3) to examine whether gender strengthens or weakens the effect of locus of control on entrepreneurial intention. 4) to examine whether gender strengthens or weakens the effect of risk taking tendency on entrepreneurial intention. Data collection techniques used questionnaires distributed online. The number of samples used in this study were 100 respondents who were Economy and Business students of Universitas Tarumanagara. The sample selection technique in this study was non-probability sampling. The data analysis technique used the PLS SEM method. The results showed that locus of control hasn’t effect on entrepreneurial intentions, risk taking tendency had a significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions, gender weakens the effect of locus of control on entrepreneur intention and gender weakens the effect of risk taking tendency on entrepreneur intention. Tujuan dari penelitian ini 1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh locus of control dengan entrepreneurial intention dengan moderasi gender 2) untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Risk Taking Tendency dengan entrepreneurial intention dengan moderasi gender 3) untuk mengetahui apakah gender memperkuat/memperlemah pengaruh locus of control dengan entrepreneurial intention. 4) untuk mengetahui apakah gender memperkuat/memperlemah pengaruh risk taking tendency dengan entrepreneurial intention. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan secara online. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa/i Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis (FEB) Universitas Tarumanagara. Teknik pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah non-probability sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode SEM PLS. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan locus of control tidak mempunyai terhadap entrepreneur intention, risk taking tendency berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap entrepreneur intention, gender memperlemah pengaruh locus of control terhadap entrepreneur intention serta gender memperlemah pengaruh risk taking tendency terhadap entrepreneur intention.
