Abstract

One of the important things in the management of higher education is the process of accepting new students, especially by private universities (Perguruan Tinggi Swasta, PTS). This is closely related to how private universities can raise funds from the community in sufficient quantities or exceed the operational needs of the university, so that the private universities can finance the activities of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education well, carry out various development activities, and have sufficient funds to support higher education sustainability in the future. Each university has a method and system that is considered the most appropriate in the process of recruiting new students, both at the Bachelor, Profession, Masters, and Doctoral levels. Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) as one of the oldest, largest, and best private universities in Indonesia has made a new student admission application using the Go Untar portal. The author of this thesis is the creator, initiator, and evaluator of the program, assisted by the Programmer Team from the Computer Center of Universitas Tarumanagara. This study aims to develop a model to evaluate new student admission portals and obtain feedback on the Go Untar system design that has been used for two years since 2020 for improvement. The method used is the TAM Model (Technology Acceptance Model) which is modified from the TAM Model by Davis, 1985 and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) Method by Venkatesh et.al., 2003, to obtain the 2021 API TAM Model, specifically to evaluate the new student registration portal. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the TAM API 2021 Model has been validated and can be used in analysing the effectiveness and convenience of Go Untar in the selection process for new students at Universitas Tarumanagara. The Go Untar portal is perceived as useful for quick and effective registration and being able to see accurate results. Go Untar is easy, clear, understandable, does not need mental effort, easy to access, easy to register in the intended study program, and easy to get selection results.
