Abstract
Being teachers in special school section B should have patience, and have skill and knowledge, need emotional intelligence and competence in carrying out tasks as educator professional. Efforts to develop the emotional intelligence is as important with the develop of professional competency an educator in order realization effective learning. The result showed that correlation emotional intelligence with competency are 0,359 and p = 0,004 < 0,01, meaning there is positive correlation and significant between emotional intelligence with competency. The results of this research are directed on the recommendation of an increase in emotional intelligence or competence of teachers to support the learning process.
