Abstract
Conformity is the act of imitating the behavior to the expectations of a group or society. Conformity is common in adolescents, especially adolescent age range early and middle teens, and is a necessity in the lives of adolescents. Conformity can sometimes be a negative effects for adolescents themselves so that the ability of self-regulation is an important factor for teens to control their behavior. This study aims to determine the correlation between conformity and self-regulation in early and middle adolescence. This study included 300 participants who have study in junior high school, in the age range 12-16 years. The research was conducted in Jakarta by using convenience sampling technique that was conducted in March 2013. The results showed that conformity and self-regulation has a negative correlation with r = -0,151, p = 0,009, which means the higher conformity the lower of self-regulation, so instead.
