Abstract
The aim of this research is to know the association between shame and self-esteem among physical disabilities in Jakarta. This research involved 44 participants from Panti Sosial X whose ages ranged from 12 to 50 years. The sampling technique used in this research is form of non-probability sampling which is convenience or accidental sampling. The result shows that shame have a negative correlations and significant with self-esteem among disabilities in Jakarta. It means that increased levels of shame will be associated with decreased level of self-esteem among physical disabilities in Jakarta and vice versa. This research has found that shame is positively correlated and significant with age. The mean of shame scores participants are high and the mean of self-esteem scores participants are low.
